On 19 August 2024, the National Bank of Cambodia issued a press release on the soft launch of Bakong Touris App on their official website.

According to the press, H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, presided over the soft launch ceremony of “Bakong Tourist App” on August 19, 2024 at Siem Reap.
